There was once a puzzle.
It began with roast beef.
Then came honey marmalade.
And, as though the universe had decided that every good mystery deserved a little sweetness, a Cinnamon Dolce Latte.
Three things that seemed to have absolutely nothing to do with one another.
But that is the wonderful thing about puzzles.
Sometimes the answer isn't hidden in what belongs together. Sometimes it is hidden in what doesn't.
Roast beef was something substantial. Something that nourished.
Honey marmalade was something sweet, made from the unlikely marriage of bitterness and sugar.
And cinnamon?
Cinnamon was warmth.
The kind of warmth one carries in one's hands on an ordinary morning, before the day has revealed what it intends to become.
Perhaps the puzzle was never about food at all.
Perhaps it was about discovering that life gives us things we do not immediately understand, and asks us to find the connection.
The answer was not roast beef.
It was not honey marmalade.
And it was not the Cinnamon Dolce Latte.
The answer was the simple pleasure of putting them all together, laughing at the absurdity, and sharing the moment with another human being.
Because sometimes, the greatest mysteries are solved not by thinking harder, but by remembering to enjoy the morning.
A little puzzle, a little sweetness, and a good cup of coffee.
